Come and join us as we kick off the Christmas season together in Vesterbro!

Experience true Christmas spirit in the heart of Copenhagen as Øksnehallen is transformed into a warm and welcoming Christmas market filled with scents, music, and community. Meet local volunteers, enjoy free Christmas treats, and support good causes – all in the spirit of the season.

Programme

16.00 - The Christmas market opens
16.30 – Welcome speech by DGI Byen's director Michael Stensbøl – and "Julen på Vesterbro" is officially launched with the Christmas tree lighting
17.00 – Christmas bingo with Rune Klan – with lots of experience prizes for the whole family from DGI Byen
18.00 – Christmas concert with  Bodegabandet Thomas & Amalie
19.00 – Wishing everyone a truly joyful December!

DGI Byen offers:

🥣 Soup kitchen – free as long as there's soup in the pot
🎁 The Christmas Man hands out free bags of sweets
✏️ Drawing competition:  "My Dream Christmas Eve" – win a stay at DGI Byen's CPH Hotel incl. access to the swimming pool, bowling, and a burger menu.

Of course, the Christmas market also features Christmas stalls supporting a good local cause.

We are a social enterprise in Vesterbro working to improve conditions for vulnerable drug users. We do this, among other things, by employing marginalized drug users with a special social permit, helping ensure that a marginalized group can become part of an inclusive working community
