An exciting and insightful talk about children and well-being challenges

In recent years, we have seen more and more children and young people struggling with well-being challenges.

This affects families, professionals, and communities alike - and many are left with the feeling of not really knowing what the children actually need.

In this talk, Christoffer Hansen from PLAY shines a light on exactly that. Through a mix of personal stories, professional perspectives, and concrete examples, he offers an honest and heartfelt insight into what characterizes childhood today - and what it requires from us as adults.

You will hear about how childhood has changed across generations, and why parents, grandparents and professionals now have entirely new challenges.

Christoffer explains what the modern view of children means in practice and how relationships and communities can play a crucial role in children's mental well-being.

At the same time, the talk gives you concrete tools on how to:

  • Support children and young people in distress without losing yourself

  • keep the relationship warm - even when collaboration is difficult

  • Create calm and stability through your own self-regulation

  • Find the balance between support, structure and necessary resistance

  • Use the child's surrounding community as an active resource

There is solid research behind PLAY's work: Mental well-being is strengthened when we do something active, do something together and do something meaningful. This is the core of the talk and gives you inspiration and courage to take action - whether you are a parent, a professional or simply someone who wants the best for children.

This talk is for anyone who wants deeper understanding, practical tools and a renewed sense of calm when meeting children and young people who are struggling. You will leave with new knowledge, reflections and hands-on strategies you can use immediately.

In short: You'll gain insight, inspiration and the ability to take action - wrapped in professionalism, presence and heart.
