Energy and community
Would your child like to try out lifesaving? Then our MiniCamp focused on lifesaving is the perfect introduction!
MiniCamp at DGI Byen is a popular activity program for children aged 8–13, where several times a year we invite you to exciting themes, play, and learning in a safe environment. This time, we're diving into the world of lifesaving—and everyone can join. Lifesaving is much more than red shorts and beach flags
When you hear the word 'lifesaving,' many people think of beach lifeguards or pool lifeguards. But lifesaving is also a fun and active way to learn about safety in and around water through play, teamwork, and challenges.
Denmark is surrounded by water, which makes it especially important for children to learn to move confidently in and around water. The MiniCamp gives children the tools to be safe—and have fun while they're learning.
Fun activity – important knowledge
Did you know that Denmark is among the best in the world at resuscitation? We're building on that title! At MiniCamp – Lifesaving, children will be introduced to:
First aid and resuscitation at a child's level
Basic lifesaving techniques
Confidence and safety in the water
Games, teamwork exercises, and fun water activities
The aim is to give children a motivating and inspiring experience that boosts their confidence in water—while also sparking an interest in lifesaving as a leisure activity.
