Copenhagen Yoga Day takes place in DGI Byen's large hall, Idrætshuset. You'll find the entrance at the corner of Tietgensgade and Ingerslevsgade, directly across from Copenhagen Central Station.

Come join us for a full day of balance, flow, and inner peace at DGI Byen.

On Saturday, June 22nd, we invite you to a full day of yoga and movement with instructors such as CathrineYoga , Stina Madelaire , and Lotus Turéll .

This day is for you! We welcome summer and sunshine in the middle of June for a day of presence, calmness and flow. We have put effort into curating a beautiful program featuring wonderful flow yoga, gentle stretches, meditation, and breathwork.

We are proud to present some talented instructors for this day:

Meet trauma therapist and meditation mentor, Lotus Turéll, who will guide you into relationship and harmony with yourself.
Talented Stina Madelaire will ignite warmth in your body with an explorative and creative flow, giving a glow to your cheeks.

You will experience one of Denmark's largest and most renowned yoga teachers, CathrineYoga, who will guide you through a delightful, heart-opening yin yoga practice.

You will also go through a fantastic breathwork practice by Wim Hof Method-instructor Gitte Lindegaard, who is the only Danish instructor with over 100 five-star reviews.

The price includes a vegetable shot, lunch (vegetarian poke bowl and choice of soda), and müsli snack. Additionally, you can freely enjoy coffee, tea, and water.

No experience is required to participate; everyone is welcome.

7.30: Doors Open
We welcome you to a fantastic day. Upon arrival, you'll be offered a fresh vegetable shot, allowing time to settle into the space and onto your yoga mat.

8.20 - 8.50: Warm-up and Body Activation
We kick off the day with DGI Byen's own instructor, focusing on awakening the body and introducing movement and warmth.

8.50 - 9.00: Short Break
Refill your water bottle, enjoy a quick herbal tea, and prepare for the next session.

9.00 - 10.30: Vinyasa Yoga with Stina Madelaire
Focus on spark, glow, and joy in this delightful vinyasa flow with Stina. With summer at its peak and the light shining brightly, we ignite our inner spark with a challenging and exploratory, creative flow that brings a glow to the cheeks and connects you to what is joyful, authentic, and meaningful for you.

10.30 - 10.45: Break with Healthy, Homemade Müsli Snack
Enjoy a cup of herbal tea or coffee, refill your water bottle, and recharge with our healthy, homemade müsli snack.

10.45 - 11.45: Breathwork / Wim Hof Method with Gitte Lindegaard
Put on a warm sweater and socks, maybe a blanket over you, and get ready for an amazing hour with talented Gitte Lindegaard. You will be introduced to the Wim Hof Method, known for bringing strength, health, and joy to its practitioners with scientific evidence. Part of the method is a breathwork practice where you "get high on your own supply." By changing the body's biochemistry, you reduce inflammation in the body and boost your immune system. You feel it the first time and every time.

11.45 - 12.45: Lunch
Enjoy a healthy lunch with a vegetarian poke bowl and choice of soda.

12.30 - 12.45: Post-Lunch Warm-up with DGI Byen's Own Instructor
During the last fifteen minutes of the lunch break, you are welcome to warm up your body with our own instructor.

12.45 - 14.15: Yin Yoga with CathrineYoga
Enjoy a loving initiation to invite more yoga, self-love, and presence into your life with heart-opening yin yoga with talented CathrineYoga.

The yoga class consists of classic yin yoga poses as an introduction to the principles of yin yoga. Look forward to feeling the beneficial effects of yin yoga's long, deep, and gentle connective tissue stretches. Yin yoga increases flexibility, lowers stress levels, improves posture, and increases blood circulation. In yin yoga, the focus is on creating balance between yin and yang. When that balance occurs, there will be a free flow through the body's meridian channels, and life will feel more balanced, the body will be healthy, and the mind will feel free.

Everyone can participate – whether you're new or experienced on the yoga mat.

14.15 - 14.30: Short Break
Enjoy a wonderful cup of herbal tea or coffee and prepare for the day's final workshop.

14.30 - 15.30: "Oneness" Meditation with Lotus Turéll
Put on a warm sweater and socks and be guided into a fantastic meditation with Lotus. After an introduction to the essence and qualities of meditation, she will guide you into a meditation that brings you into relationship and harmony with yourself. The word "lonely" originally comes from the Old Norse "einsammen," meaning "together as one." Therefore, loneliness is not about 'aloneness' but about a harmony with yourself. Everyone can participate regardless of whether you have meditated before or not, or which method you already meditate within.

Practical Information

Copenhagen Yoga Day takes place in DGI Byen's large hall, known as Idrætshuset. The address is Tietgensgade 65, and the main entrance is located at the corner of Tietgensgade and Ingerslevsgade, directly across from Copenhagen Central Station.

You can park in DGI Byen's own parking garage, which you can access from Ingerslevsgade. There is camera parking on site, so payment is made through your parking app.

The price includes a ginger shot, lunch (vegetarian poke bowl and choice of soda), and a müsli snack. Additionally, herbal tea, coffee, and water are available throughout the day.

Changing Facilities:
We have changing facilities on-site, but we recommend that you arrive dressed for the occasion. You can store your belongings on the stands inside the hall.

Personal Equipment:
Please bring your own equipment such as a yoga mat, bolster, blanket, yoga block, etc. Also remember to bring a warm sweater, socks, and a blanket for activities like meditation workshops.
